Vietnam Public Holidays 2013 Calendar – Plan your trip to suit the local holidays

As far as the number of public holidays per year, Vietnam is the lowest in all of Southeast Asia coming in with only nine days. This is good considering that in 2007, they only had 8 holidays until the Vietnamese government added a holiday commemorating the mythical Hung Kings bringing the total public holidays to nine. Vietnam, like some other countries substitutes a weekday (usually Monday), if the holiday falls on a weekend, which of course creates a three day weekend.
